Good programme! Recommended!

Pros: This programme is very good and pretty stable; moreover, it is still a Beta, so it (should) only become better. I would not mind if I had to pay for this programme, but I would find it good sportsmanship from Microsoft to keep this programme free in order to compensate the frequent flaws in their programmes. AntiSpyware itself looks great, has a lot of info and removes a lot of spyware and also ones that other programmes had missed. The updates are quite frequent ýmuch more frequent than other anti-spyware programmes I know and you have full control on what you want to do if spyware has been found. For example, I run MS Messenger Plus, which may ýas clearly indicated by Microsoft in AntiSpywareýinstall adware or be labelled as such. In this case I have chosen explicitly not to install the third-party software ýas asked in the setup of Plusýand I have checked with anti-spyware programmes to see if my system was clean afterwards. After the scan of Microsoft I simply made the choice to ignore these entries and next scans did not reveal them anymore. Very nice!

Beware! Whereas MS Windows AntiSpyware has proven to be a great addition to the arsenal against spyware, it would still depend on your computer habits whether or not to install additional software. Personally I do not download (dubious) software from ditto websites, nor do I clog up my system with useless little gadgets; moreover, Kazaa-stuff I wonýt even bother to download, so I have enough with just a good firewall and anti-spyware. I have been running such a configuration (Kerio & MS firewall ýworks perfectlyýand MS AntiSpyware) for some time now and I have had zero problems so far. However, for people with other habits than me I would recommend running a combination of Spyware Blaster, Ad Aware and ýfor exampleýMS AntiSpyware, because one anti-spyware programme may miss something that others may not (and vice versa), but that does not mean that the programme is bad (as suggested here)

Should of course be 5 stars

I accidentally hit the reset button and forgot the revalue, so now it looks as if I give 1 star, but in fact it should be the max.
